TEZPUR: A ceremonial plantation programme as part of the Hariyali Mahotsav 2022 was held at Ouguri Pahar in Tezpur at the site selected for Nagar Van Udyan. It was organised by the Sonitpur West Forests Division, Tezpur in the presence of MLA Tezpur, Prithiraj Rava, Deputy commissioner, Deba Kumar Mishra, DFO Nripendra Kalita and other officials of the Forests Division.
It may be noted that Ouguri Hills in Tezpur is one of the three locations of Assam selected for setting up a Nagar Van Udyan, the others being located in Kamrup (M) and Maibang of Dima Hasao district. A total of 10 hectares of area has been identified for setting up the same at the location.
