Plantation programme organized by Tinsukia Krishi Vigyan Kendra

TINSUKIA: On the occasion of the Chief Minister's Institutional Plantation Programme, a ceremonial plantation was organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Tinsukia farm.

Chief Scientist Citrus Research Station, Tinsukia, Dr JP Dutta inaugurated the programme by planting fruit saplings. Gayatri D. Bhuyan Senior Scientist & Head, KVK, Tinsukia briefed the objective of the programme.

As part of the nationwide campaign 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav', the KVK Tinsukia planted 30 guava saplings with varieties like Var. Megha Magenta, Megha Wonders, Megha Supreme as fruit block under CMIIP programme at KVK, farm.

The programme was attended by Dr Nilim Kalita, Junior Scientist, CRS, Tinsukia, Dr Rubul Gohain, ADO, Hapjan, Dr Kripal Borah, Subject Matter Specialist and Coordinator of CMIPP , KVK, Tinsukia and all the scientists of KVK, Tinsukia, including the staff participated in the event.
