DIBRUGARH: The 10 kg domestic composite cylinder and 5 kg cook top was launched at the premises of Dibrugarh Deputy Commissioner's office on Thursday. The 10 kg smart cylinder is made of plastic fibre and is very elegant for a modern kitchen. All mandatory precautions and safety measures are kept into account while introducing the cylinder.
Talking to reporters, Dibrugarh MLA Prasanta Phukan said, "The plastic cylinder was made by IOCL and today it was launched in Dibrugarh. IOCL has made the cylinder keeping the convenience of women in mind. In a programme in Uttar Pradesh, 200 women met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and apprised him about their problems. PM Modi assured them to solve their problem and with the help of IOCL, the plastic cylinder was launched in 2021."
The cylinder has a three-layered construction and is made up of a blow-moulded High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) inner line, covered with a composite layer of polymer-wrapped fibreglass. Dibrugarh Deputy Commissioner Biswajit Pegu, DDA Sanjay Dutta and officials of IOCL were present during the launch programme.
