PM SVANIdhi camps for urban street vendors inaugurated at ADC Office Kanubari

KANUBARI: PM SVANIdhi camp for urban street vendors of Kanubari town under Longding District Urban Development Agency (DUDA) was formally inaugurated in the conference hall of the ADC Office Kanubari by ADC in charge, Tojum Ete, in the presence of Assistant Engineer-cum-ASW, Likha Tuma, Longding DUDA, SMM ArSULM, JE Kanubari, community organizers of Longding, Tezu, UD, and Housing Department. Tuma welcomed all the participants and team of staff from ArSULM Itanagar and argued for vendors to avail themselves of the benefits of the scheme and enrol themselves with the department for further benefit in the long run. Dr. Ete asked all vendors to avail themselves of the PM SVANidhi scheme and requested that they be in touch with DUDA Kanubari to avail themselves of other CSS schemes being implemented by the department. Also, he requested that the vendors utilise the loan amount in the most efficient way possible to enhance their livelihoods.

Ravi Sharma, the state Mission Manager of ArSULM, informed all the vendors about the benefits of the PM SVANidhi scheme, with the benefits ranging from Rs 10,000 as the first tranche, Rs 20,000 as the second tranche, and Rs 50,000 as the third. He also requested that all vendors be on board digitally and use the barcode issued by banks in daily transactions so that monthly cash benefits can be availed of from the scheme, which will benefit in the long run. He also said the vendors enrolled as PM SVANidhi beneficiaries would get the vendor’s smart ID card and certificate of vending in due course of time. A total of 15 vendors applied for the first tranche of the loan.
