JAGIROAD: Following the alarming rise in Coronavirus transmission across the State, the authority of Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary at Mayong in the district of Morigaon has put a ban on the movement of all kind of tourists in the sanctuary with immediate effect.

The step has been taken also because it is suspected that Coronavirus might transmit from human beings to animals also, said a Forest official.

Earlier, Kaziranga and Manas were also declared closed for tourists until further order.
