Police Seize Three Pick-Up Trucks Laden With 30 Bulls In Goalpara

While interrogation, the police found that there were no documents of the cattle and it and these cattle were being transported illegally.

Goalpara: During a routine checkup, police on Wednesday seized three pick-up trucks loaded with at least 30 bulls Goalpara's Ranjuli.

Reportedly, the vehicle was checked as the police had inputs about some illegal cattle being transported.

While interrogation, the police found that there were no documents of the cattle and it and these cattle were being transported illegally.

The drivers have been detained and legal proceedings have been initiated against them.

On Sunday, the Nagaon Police had arrested six persons on the charges of illegal transportation of cattle.

The police carried out an operation on Sunday and seized the cattle-laden trucks in Nagaon's Boghat.

Notably, a constable and a home guard were also involved in the crime as they were facilitating the transportation. However, police arrested constable and looking for the home guard as he is missing.

The arrested individuals were identified as Jan Bora, Mustafa Ahmed, Rutam Ali, Bhrigu Bailung and Ajibur Rahman.

According to reports, the cattle heads were being transported in the two trucks from Rajmai market in the Sivsagar district.
