Guwahati: JBF (INDIA) Trust commonly known as JBF (Just Be Friendly) working for Animal Welfare in Assam conducted post-flood veterinary support at the most flood-affected areas of Kaziranga National Park. Under the drive, JBF has covered five highly flood-affected villages of Kohora, Kaziranga. The drive was held on August 27, 28 and 29. The managing trustee of JBF, Dr. Sashanka Sekhar Dutta himself lead the team (management, vets, documentation, support staff) and left for Kaziranga on August 27 with all the veterinary support and feed facilities for the flood-affected animals. According to the Assam Disaster Management report, the condition is much worse than the previous years. Considering this, the event was accordingly planned in the highly flood-affected villages i. e. Lukhurakhonia, Moupara, Domjan, Gukhanibor, and Borbill. In these initiatives, JBF provided Post Flood Veterinary Support & distributed feed in these villages where embankment breached causing a devastating flood in nearby villages. JBF would like to continue this drive in more flood-affected areas of Assam by distributing medicines and food, stated a press release.
