KOKRAJHAR: The president of United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) Pramod Boro and the president of Bodoland People's Front (BPF) Hagrama Mohilary on Sunday roamed around in Kokrajhar town to appeal the voters to cast their votes for their respective party.

UPPL president Pramod Boro visited from one place to another, waving hands before citizens and shopkeepers and appealed to vote for their candidates. In an interview with media persons, Boro said the Mitrajoot of UPPL, BJP, AGP and GSP will be victorious in all 12 seats of four districts of BTR while Mahajoot of Congress, BPF and AIUDF will lose all seats this time. He said that sitting MLA from Kokrajhar East and Minister Pramila Rani Brahma who had been legislator for the last 30 years has miserably failed to bring any significant development in her constituency. He also said this time, the people have come against her and will choose UPPL candidate Lawrence Islary for Kokrajhar East for the development of all communities.

Meanwhile, the president of BPF, Hagrama Mohilary who was here for election campaign said that the people of Assam are supporting the Mahajoot. Thanking the people of Assam, he said the Mahajoot will form the government in the State. He claimed that the people of lower Assam will extend maximum support to the candidates of Mahajoot on April 6 as they have supported in the 1st and 2nd phase of the elections in other parts of the State.
