DOOMDOOMA: Under the auspices of Chah Janagosthi Jatiya Mahasabha and in collaboration with Tinsukia District Police administration, a three-month long pre-recruitment police training camp has been organized at Khobong Tea Estate near Talap for the aspirants of police and defense services jobs.

Around 500 youths of the tea gardens are taking part in the training camp. On their interaction with the media persons, the youths expressed their happiness that such a training camp had been organized for them as they felt that temperamentally they were better equipped for a career in police and defense services.

"We might not possess enough merit to become doctors, engineers or civil servants. But certainly we do have physical fitness to become police personnel or army jawans to lend our services to our motherland," said one of the participants enthusiastically.

The organizers said that few youths who were either drug addicts or were involved in some anti-social activities, had now given up those activities and were undergoing rigorous training in the camp.
