NAGAON: Yatra, a volunteer organization of the district, under special sponsorship of Sarva Siksha Abhijan Mission, Nagaon, organized a month-long special training programme at around 14 centres in five different education blocks of the district from February 1.
As part of the training, a pre-vocational training on various skills like computer education, cycle repairing, cutting and tailoring and doll making was inaugurated on Saturday by District Planning Officer, SSA, Srutimala Gayon Bora at Aljamiatul Banat Madrassa.
In the inaugural function, Bora asserted that such training programmes would help the students to develop their skills and encourage them to be self-employed.
In the function, the chairperson of the volunteer organization, Dildar Hussain, resource persons like Dulal Bora, Sangeeta Bhattacharya, SSA officials Pallabi Saikia, Apora Bora, Beena Sarkar and Bhagyajyoti Bora were also present.
