TINSUKIA: As the number of COVID-19 positive cases has crossed 100 in Tinsukia district, the district administration has ordered closure of classes up to Class-V in both government and private educational institutions with immediate effect till May 8 under relevant provisions of Disaster Management Act-2005. This decision was taken following discussion held on Monday with heads of various educational institutions in the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner's office in Tinsukia wherein the COVID scenario was reviewed.
