Private bus drivers stage protest at NH-31 in Nalbari

NALBARI: "We too have stomachs," shouted drivers on NH-31 on Tuesday. Private bus drivers and their helpers blocked NH-31 at Ganesh Mandir, Nalbari. They claimed that many buses were carrying passengers from Dhubri to Guwahati and vice versa. At every district boundary, they had to pay Rs 1,000 for their buses to pass. The drivers and their helpers said that they too had families to feed and requested the government to lay down some SOP same for all.
