Private Schools to continue classes in online mode: Assam Government

The reopening of schools will have the options of both online and offline classes, said Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Assam education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday said that the educational institutes across the state will reopen from November 2.

Ensuring flexibility, Sarma said that the reopening of schools will have the options of both online and offline classes. 

He also revealed that private schools of the state will have the option to continue with the online mode. 

''The private schools have an option not to open if they continue with the online mode of conducting classes'' Sarma said and added that there will only be 20 to 25 students allowed inside every classroom.

The education and health minister also said that the SOPs for resuming classes for students, except the primary level, would be in go on with the established COVID protocols.
