Prohibitory order for APSC Combined Competitive Exam clamped in Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: Along with the other centres of the State, the APSC Combined Competitive Exam (Mains) will be held at North Lakhimpur College (Autonomous) centre in Lakhimpur district from July 8 to July 10. In view of holding the exam in free, fair and transparent environment, District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner of Lakhimpur, Sumit Sattawan has declared some restrictions at the exam centre by promulgating 144 CrPC.

The order issued by the District Magistrate in this connection has restricted the gathering of people within the radius of 100 meters of North Lakhimpur College (Autonomous), other than candidates, scribes and officials engaged for conduct and monitoring the exam. The order has also prohibited the carrying of mobile phones, any electronics equipment or programmable device or storage media devices such as smart watches, health bands, electronic pen/scanner, bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones or any other such devices either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as communication device by candidates to the exam centre. Calculator, pen drives, bits of paper, textual materials (printed or written) and any item which can be used for adopting unfair means have also been prohibited in the exam hall. Violation of this promulgation will be punishable under relevant provisions of law.
