DEMOW: The ward members of Sukanpukhuri Gaon Panchayat and Public staged a dharna in front of the Sukanpukhuri Gaon Panchayat Office on Friday in protest against alleged corruption and monopoly of the president of the Sukanpukhuri Gaon Panchayat. They shouted slogans against the president of the Sukanpukhuri Gaon Panchayat and demanded termination of the president of the Sukanpukhuri Gaon Panchayat and fulfilment of their demands. On July 26, the ward members of the Sukanpukhuri Gaon Panchayat had submitted an allegation letter to District Commissioner of Sivasagar district where they had stated their allegations against president of the Sukanpukhuri Gaon Panchayat. But no action has been taken against the president of the Sukanpukhuri Gaon Panchayat.
