HAFLONG: Denizens of Harangajao in general and of Buolmuol in particular protested against the poor mobile network and frequent power failure in Harangajao on Thursday.

Maintaining COVID protocol, the people of Buolmuol village staged demonstration holding placards and demanded immediate restoration of mobile network and regular power supply. They said that BSNL, Airtel and Vodafone had erected towers in various places of Harangajao to provide mobile network to consumers but had failed miserably due to their 'indifferent' attitude. Despite repeated pleas, all the cellular companies never feel it necessary to provide proper network to them, they alleged. Due to inconvenience caused by poor network and power failure, the student community has become the worst sufferers.

Talking to the media, Daniel Lungtau, secretary, Hmar Students' Association (HSA) Harangajao Block, and Ebenezar Hmar, vice-president, HSA Harangajao Block, explained how the people and students were facing difficulties due to poor mobile network and frequent power failure at Harangajao. They warned that if the authority concerned failed to address their genuine demands, they would be compelled to launch stronger agitation in the near future.
