GOLAGHAT: The activists of All Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AAJYCP) of Golaghat district unit staged a sit-in at Golaghat on Saturday in protest against the skyrocketing prices of essential commodities. The activists raised various slogans against the State government as well as Supplies Minister Jogen Mohan.
Attending in the programme AAJYCP central committee president Sayedur Rahman slammed BJP government and criticized the Assam government for failing to control price hike of essential commodities. He said that the State government totally failed in controlling price hike. The price hike of day to day essential commodities is increasing day by day.
AAJYCP central committee in-charge secretary Nipon Gogoi and vice president Arup Bora said that common people have to bear the increasing rate of municipal tax, electricity tax, toll tax. The organization threatened massive agitation if the government doesn’t take any initiative to control the price hike.
