Psychological motivation for students programme held Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mangaldai

The authority of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mangaldai with support from the district health department, organized a psychological motivation programme

MANGALDAI: Keeping in mind the alarming rise in psychological issues of students in the post-COVID environment, the authority of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mangaldai with support from the district health department, organized a psychological motivation programme on Thursday.

The day-long programme was attended as resource persons by several health and psychological experts of the state health department, including Dr Ramesh Bhattacharjee, CM&HO, Dr Ramesh Goswami, SDM&HO, Rimpi Sultana, psychologist, and Puspa Kalita, Clinical Psychologist, aimed at understanding the individual's inter-personal, social and environmental factors affecting the daily life of a student.

During interactions many students opened up about their common problems like anxiety, lack of concentration in studies, strong affinity towards smartphone and depression while few complained about their sleep paralysis and other psychological issues. The experts then offered some simple remedies and techniques to overcome their situations. The programme covering students from Class VI to Class XII was well assisted by teachers Shibangi Misra and Monika under the supervision of Principal of the school, Hitesh Kumar Verma.
