LAKHIMPUR: A 10-foot long python, weighing up to 45 kg, was recovered by the local people at Tamargaon under Dhakuakhana Police Station of the subdivision. The python was found on a tree in the village.
Later, the forest officials took the python and kept in a cage at the Dhakuakhana Sub-Beat Forest Office. Forest Officer Chandrakanta Das said that the python would be released safely in the jungle the next day. Further, the forest office concerned recovered an injured crane from Huzgaon under the same Police Station.
