Rangia Rail Division achieves significant growth in last financial year

The division has set a target of loading 1.42 metric tons of goods and generating revenue of Rs 213.9 crore in the last financial year i.e 2022-23.

RANGIA: Rangia Railway Division headed by Vijay Kumar Srivastava, Divisional Railway Manager, Rangia achieved a significant growth in freight business in last financial year. Rangia Rail Division is one of the important Railway Division of Northeast Region of India. It has stepped up its efforts to achieve substantial growth in the freight business, in order to ensure maximum goods loading and generate revenue.

The division has set a target of loading 1.42 metric tons of goods and generating revenue of Rs 213.9 crore in the last financial year i.e 2022-23. According to the latest reports, Rangia Division has already made a significant progress towards achieving its targets. The division has reported an increase of 32.53% growth from the previous financial year.

This impressive growth is the result of the division’s sustained efforts to acquire more goods for loading and transporting. In order to achieve its targets, Rangia Division has sought to induct a significant jump in acquiring goods for loading. According to the DRM Srivastava, the division has been taking assorted measures to improve its infrastructure and streamlined its processes, which has enabled it to handle a higher volume of goods.

Rangia Division has also been actively engaging with businesses and industries to understand their freight requirements and offer them customized solutions to meet their specific needs. This has helped the division to establish long-term relationships with its customers, which has contributed to its overall growth. Ankit Gupta, Sr. Divisional Operating Manager affirmed that Rangia Division target loading of 1.4 metric ton of goods for last financial Year 2022-23 set by Zonal Headquarter was achieved before the closing of the Financial Year 2022-23 due to sustained efforts by the zone and the division.
