Rashmi Shukla, SSB DG visits Salonibari training centre in Sonitpur district

TEZPUR: Rashmi Shukla, SSB DG visited RTC SSB Salonibari, Tezpur in Sonitpur district on November 16 and November 17 on her maiden visit to review the training and other activities at the training centre. On arrival, she was accorded with impressive Guard of Honour by the personnel. She inspected the training infrastructure coming up in the parade ground and other locations including 200 Men Jawan Barrack nearing completion.

She addressed a Sainik Sammelan of the staff & trainees of 260th Batch Basic Recruit Training Course who are passing out by the end of this month. She urged incoming recruits to commit themselves fully to serving the country. During her interaction with the trainees & staff she motivated them to perform their duties professionally and exhorted new trainees to inculcate good habits in them so that they can become disciplined. In the evening, a cultural night was organized in which trainees from various parts of the country presented cultural programme of their respective states and conveyed the message of Unity in Diversity. Mesmerizing musical performances, presented by the trainees, were lauded by the SSB DG. It is noteworthy that RTC SSB Salonibari is the oldest training institute of SSB, which was raised during the year 1963 and has been witness to all the developments those have taken place in the force since its inception. During the visit, Dr. Paresh Saxena, IPS, IG (Trg) FHQ New Delhi, R. K. Bhumla, IG FTR HQrs Guwahati and Binod Nayak, IG FTR HQrs Tezpur were also present at the centre.
