Recovered COVID patient donates plasma at Tezpur Medical College and Hospital

TEZPUR: Senior TB Laboratory Supervisor, National Tuberculosis Elimination Program, Sonitpur, 35-year-old Kishore Dey, who recovered from COVID-19 in August, donated plasma at Tezpur Medical College and Hospital. He expressed solidarity with the government's appeal to COVID-19 recovered patients to come forward and donate their plasma for the treatment of critical COVID-19 patients.

Dr Sanjoy Roy, District Tuberculosis officer, National Tuberculosis Elimination Program, Sonitpur, informed that this is the first case in entire NTEP, Assam. Kishore Dey had tested positive in on July 30 last in the line of duty at quarantine center of Tezpur University. He was released on August 10 after testing negative. He has resumed his duties with full vigour as a frontline COVID warrior of Sonitpur district. Dr Roy appealed to healthy donors to come forward and donate plasma for the noble cause.
