Recruit Training Centre, Kimin planted 3000 saplings in Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: As a part of the series of plantation programme, initiated under the aegis of Ministry of Home Affairs, Recruit Training Centre (RTC), Kimin on Friday conducted Mega Plantation Drive-2023 and planted 3,000 saplings in the nearby areas. Under the guidance of DIG of RTC, Pawan Kumar Negi, the event was conducted in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kimin, Buddh Bazar Kimin, Kimin Village, Government Higher Secondary School, Kimin, St. Vincent Pallotti School Kimin, Durpa village, family area of RTC Kimin and camp area of RTC Kimin.

Addressing the children, teachers and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel on the occasion DIG Pawan Kumar Negi threw light on the importance of cleanliness of environment, harmful effects of pollution and importance of plantation to preserve the earth. He emphasized that all should be ready for preservation of environment. During the plantation drive at various locations, school children and civilians participated in the event with full enthusiasm.
