Tamulpur: Under the aegis of ‘Operation Sadbhavana’, construction of two toilet blocks including bathrooms was undertaken by an Artillery unit of Red Horns Division (RHD) at Kachubari High school under Tamulpur Subdivision in Baksa district on Friday. Commanding Officer of Army Camp Dighlipara, inaugurated the toilet blocks in presence of school authorities, students, portfolios of school management committee along with civil administration representatives and local people.
The toilet block will help the students to maintain proper hygiene and sanitation in this remote area of Assam. Besides providing facilities to the school children and staff, this step has also contributed towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh India campaign.
This initiative by RHD has helped in building the trust of the local population and has won the hearts and minds of the students and school staff. The school authority and local people praised and appreciated the army’s effort to help the school under the scheme of ‘Operation Sadbhavana’.
