Registration process for PM Kisan begins; eligible farmers urged to apply

The (PM Kisan) Yojana is one of those schemes which have been adopted by the Government of India to provide essential help to the farmers of the country.

LAKHIMPUR: The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) Yojana is one of those schemes which have been adopted by the Government of India to provide essential help to the farmers of the country. Under the PM Kisan, the eligible farmers will get a total amount of Rs 6,000 annually.

Along with the rest of the nation, the scheme has also been implemented in the Lakhimpur district by Agriculture Department. Currently, PM Kisan Registration 2023 process is made available by the Department of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare for the farmers to register themselves and get the benefits of the scheme. In this connection, the office of the District Agriculture Officer of Lakhimpur has called upon the bonafide farmers of the district, who have been deprived of getting the benefits of the scheme, to register their names for PM Kisan thorough online application by visiting any Customer Service Point or Arunoday Kendra. Along with application, the farmers must submit their Aadhaar Cards, land holding proof like Jama Bandi, Ration Card etc.

On the other hand, genuine farmers, residing at NC villages can submit their applications offline too at the Office of the District Agriculture Officer along with the copies of Aadhaar Card, land holding proof etc. For this, the applicants must fill up the ‘Annexure I’ of the form, stated a press release.

The District Agriculture Officer of Lakhimpur has further called upon the beneficiary farmers, whose bank accounts have still not been credited with PM Kisan instalments, to check their status by visiting the District Agriculture Office along with their Aadhaar Cards, Bank Passbook. The applicants must link their Aadhar Cards with their bank account in order to get the instalment. Such beneficiaries have been asked to have their bank accounts’ DBT enabled by visiting the banks concerned. If the beneficiary farmers face with problem while doing this, they can open a new account with zero balance at Indian Post Payment Bank (IPPB).
