Representative from Kokrajhar invited for national conclave on Maan Ki Baat

KOKRAJHAR: Around 2,000 guests from every states of the country who are working for excellence in different fields were invited. Three participants from Assam were invited in the national conclave. Representative from Swima Athing Group (Active Leg) of Kokrajhar who works for cleanliness and plantation for green earth was also invited.

The Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar while attending the inaugural session of National Conclave on Maan Ki Baat @100 episode held at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi on Wednesday called upon all to explore new ideas and new concept for better India. He said the Maan ki Baat had inspired the people of India including rural masses in every field.

Dhankhar said the time had come to be a proud Indian by exploring talents in diverse fields. He also called upon the people of India to work for the country to achieve an important global position. The Prime Minister of India started the airing of Mann ki Baat programme on October 3, 2014 which focuses on development and advancement in every sector besides inspiring countrymen to achieve in respective fields, he said adding that the women empowerment had been given due importance . He also said it was a proud moment that the President of India is too now from the tribal community. He further said the Prime Minister Narendra Modi had brought an end to discrimination. He called upon all to work with innovative ideas. He also said that Modi’s Look East and Act East Policy were a significant initiative for the country.

Union Minister of Information, Broadcasting, Sports and Youth Affairs Anurag Singh Thakur spoke at the the inaugural session.

There had been four technical sessions on various issues. Actors Raveena Tandon, Aamir Khan, Ricky Kej, Magsasay Award winner Kiron Bedi and other prominent personalities of different fields attended and shared their thoughts in the session.
