Joysagar: The leaders and members of the Lakwa regional Ahom Gana Mancha, Sivasagar district, staged a road blockade in association with the Lakwa Regional Tai Ahom Students’ Union for two hours in the Lakwa-Rajgarh PWD road on Friday.
The organizations protested against the Sivasagar district PWD authorities for their alleged negligence in repairing the Lakwa-Rajgarh road. The busy road has become dilapidated, causing a lot of inconvenience to people. Besides, the organizations also demanded immediate construction of other rural roads before the monsoon season.
