Sivasagar: Rural Self Employment Training Institute Organizes Training on Pisciculture

GAURISAGAR: Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Sivasagar on Monday organized a 10-day training programme on Pisciculture for interested fish farmers in Sivasagar district. Before the training and inaugural function were held. Pabitra Kumar Borah, RSETI Director conducted it.

In the inaugural function, Sanjib Kumar Borah, Lead District Manager (LDM), Charaideo, Abdul Rouf, branch manager of Punjab National Bank (PNB), Sivasagar branch, Rajib Dutta, NGO activist-cum-journalist and Pulin Deka, Fishery Development Officer (FDO) took part as a distinguish guests. LDM Borah urged the farmers to rear fish with a scientific attitude so that they will gain economically. Bank is ready to help farmers with any productivity project, he added. Addressing the farmers Rajib Dutta shared his past experiences involved in the World Bank-sponsored AACP project in Sivasagar district in the Fishery sector. He also narrated the prospect and potentiality of fish production in Sivasagar district. FDO Deka spoke on the technical aspects of the fishery sector in the entire state as well as Sivasagar district.
