NEW DELHI: Recently the wives of superstars of the cricketing world amazed the audience when they recollected memories of going to the same school in Assam.
It is to be mentioned here that, Anushka Sharma shared that she and Sakshi Dhoni stayed in a town located in Assam.
Notably, Sakshi Dhoni born as Sakshi Singh Rawat on November 19, 1988, in Lekhapani town in Tinsukia district, Assam, and her father, R.K. Singh, was working for the Kanoi Group's 'Binaguri Tea Company.' Her mother, Sheila Singh, is a housewife.
On the other hand, Anushka Sharma was born in Uttar Pradesh to Colonel Ajay Kumar Sharma, who was an army officer
who had to migrated to various locations during her childhood including Assam.
Further to the surprise, both of them went to a school named St Mary's School, in Margherita, Assam. Sakshi received her pre-primary education at Lekhapani. The now-famous Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma was Sakshi's classmate at Lekhapani.
However, later Sakshi Dhoni's family moved to Dehradun as her grandfather was working there as a divisional forest officer. She grew up at Dehradun along with her brothers.
Sakshi continued her education at Welham Girl's School in Dehradun and later completed her schooling at Jawahar Vidya Mandir in Ranchi.
So, it turned out that they were classmates and childhood acquaintances - they even appeared in a photograph together back in school. The one in a fairy outfit is Sakshi, while the one in the Madhuri Dixit outfit is Anushka.
Recently, a series of photos featuring Anushka Sharma and Sakshi Dhoni made it to the Internet. The photos reminded people that, both of them whose husbands have had led the Indian Cricket Team Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virat Kohli, have known each other since childhood.
The actor also recalled the fancy dress competition both had participated in together.
