Sanction letters handed over to 200 farmers at Rowta Chariali

In an event, organized by the State Bank of India on Thursday at Rowta Chariali, 200 farmers were handed over in-principle sanction letters of Rs.1.05 lakhs (ATL 0.75 Lakhs+ KCC 0.30 Lakhs) each for rearing brown egg layering chicks at Udalguri.

GUWAHATI: In an event, organized by the State Bank of India on Thursday at Rowta Chariali, 200 farmers were handed over in-principle sanction letters of Rs.1.05 lakhs (ATL 0.75 Lakhs+ KCC 0.30 Lakhs) each for rearing brown egg layering chicks at Udalguri. An MOU was also signed between State Bank of India and SGB Organic Farms, who would provide complete package for establishing micro layer units by providing good quality chicks and concentrated feed to the farmers which they will buy back from the farmers at a fair price. The sale proceeds will be directly credited to KCC accounts of the farmers by the SGB Organic Farms. The event was graced by Suranjana Dutta, General Manager (NW-I) of State Bank of India and other participants who attended the programme, stated a press release.
