Sanrakshika Day celebrated by CISF at NTPC Salakati in Kokrajhar

The 8th Sanrakshika Day was jointly celebrated today by the CISF Unit NTPC Salakati with SBSS Power Grid.

KOKRAJHAR: The 8th Sanrakshika Day was jointly celebrated today by the CISF Unit NTPC Salakati with SBSS Power Grid.

In this connection, a cultural programme marking the CISF Wives' Association Sanrakshika Day was held at CISF NTPC Salakati in Kokrajhar. The main aim of Sanrakshika was to support and enhance the official welfare efforts within the CISF focusing especially on the welfare of families, children and widows of all ranks and retired personnel of the force.

The event started with lighting of the lamp by Sanrakhsika members. The message of the president of Sanrakshika, Aparna Singh was read out for the benefit of Sanrakshika members.

The programmes showcased the richness of Indian culture through diverse performances from every age group. The highlights included Bodo traditional dance Bagurumba, Bihu, Manipuri dance, Odia group song, and Bollywood songs.

The show stopper was the ramp walk of the participants in traditional Indian wear, emphasizing the strengths of CISF as a united accommodative force. The programme concluded with a prize distribution ceremony.
