Sarbananda Sonowal reviews flood and land erosion-prevention projects in Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH: The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways and AYUSH, Sarbananda Sonowal reviewed various projects implemented to prevent land erosion and check floods in the Bindhakota-Mulukgaon areas of Dibrugarh on Tuesday.

The authorities and officials concerned appraised the minister about various projects around embankment and other measures taken to prevent flooding and land erosion in the region. People from Halgaon in Bindhakota; Tengabari Ghat, Pukhurijaan Raidaang near Dinjaan Army camp, and around Bindhakota BorNaamghar have been facing floods during the rainy seasons. The government has been working and executing many projects to control and prevent flooding. The Union Minister, after reviewing the work and progress of various flood controlling measures, asked the officials concerned and departments to work swiftly and decisively towards complete solution against flooding in this area.
