DULIAJAN: The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal came down heavily on Rahul Gandhi for his anti-India remarks, recently made at foreign land and questioned his commitment to serve his country. Senior leader of BJP also offered him a free advice on serving the nation with utmost and complete commitment & dedication to Bharat Mata. Sonowal was addressing a huge public meeting organised as part of BJP’s ‘Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyaan’ in Duliajan on Thursday.
Turning the heat on Congress, the senior leader from BJP, Sarbananda Sonowal said, “Unlike Congress, BJP has an ideology to serve the nation. Our founding fathers said that all Karyakartas of BJP is bound by this powerful ideology which is, “Nation First, Party Second, Self last”. This is what made BJP a party with a difference, in contrast to Congress whose politics thrives on discrimination and division. When Rahul Gandhi made negative remarks on Bharat Mata during his recent visit abroad, it was unworthy of someone who is a patriot or a servant of the country. If Rahul Gandhi wants to serve the country, then here is my free advice to him: if you love your country, the first and foremost duty is to serve Bharat Mata with complete commitment and devotion. Congress yet again has failed the people of India with such precipitous comments against our own country.”
Speaking further on India’s accession in the global stage, Sarbananda Sonowal said, “Under the dynamic leadership of Narendra Modi, India has made substantial gain in its stature as a nation with immense potential as well as a growing economic power contributing to the world economy. ‘Seva, Sushashan and Gareeb Kalyan’ are the keywords that has defined the nine years of government under PM Modi. This has not only brought positive changes in the country but has also enhanced the stature of India at the global stage. Yesterday, whole of the world has joined India to perform Yoga with an aim to enrich the quality of lives of humanity.
Our pride, Gamosa, continues to enthral the world as PM Modi performed Yoga with Gamosa around his neck. This is the vision of Modi, to take & celebrate the rich heritage of India, to help the world reach a healthier world, along with a Swastha Bharat. I am confident that this journey of India’s holistic development will continue as BJP will win the belief of the public to commit itself to the service of the nation with full commitment.”
Sarbananda Sonowal also highlighted public welfare schemes undertaken by the Modi government since 2014 which has eclipsed the performance of Congress rule by far. Sarbananda Sonowal said, “With the various public welfare schemes and its proper implementation allowing it to reach the beneficiary, the government under PM Modi has achieved much more towards building our nation and helping our citizens improve their quality of lives. The performance of six decades of misrule by Congress cannot even meet five percent of what nine years of Modi government has achieved for people’s welfare. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna, PM Fasal Bima Yojna, Ayushman Bharat, Make In India, Digital India, Ujjwala yojna, Jal Jeevan Mission, PM Jan Dhan Yojna and so many more welfare programmes has helped people from all structures of the society. From financial inclusion to convenience service, from LPG supply to water supply, from infrastructure development to economic growth, India has attained. There is a stark difference between pre and post-2014 India.
Addressing about Assam and Northeast India’s growth during nine years PM Narendra Modi’s government, Sonowal said, “Modi ji has always given top priority to the progress and development of Assam & the Northeast India. As Modi ji identified our region as the ‘Asta Lakshmi ‘of India, the role of the Northeast India to power the engine of growth of India is imminent under Modi ji. Gone are the days when the people of Northeast lived in despair due to lack of attention by consecutive Congress governments. Today, the government, under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, has kept Assam & the Northeast in the priority as plans like Act East policy, peace process and economic resurgence are afoot.”
Sonowal further encouraged the party workers to get ready for the upcoming elections by further strengthening the party from booth level onwards. Sonowal called upon the party workers to carry out massive public awareness campaigns to inform each and every family about the welfare programmes of Narendra Modi government, stated a press release.
