RANGIA: Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Rangia organized a vocational training on tailoring for 22 Below Poverty Line (BPL) girls and women of Indo-Bhutan border villages such as Gaiden Chowk, Bihangapur, Paharpur, Bimlanagar, Guabari, Rajagarh & Nalapara from Friday under government scheme Civic Action Programme (Northeast Region). MCLA of BTR Bijit Goura Narzary graced the opening ceremony of this training programme as the chief guest which was held at Khadi Gramodyog Vidyalaya, Kumarikata near the Indo-Bhutan border area of Baksa district. This vocational training will be of 30 days and trainees will be provided free of cost with boarding and lodging and food facilities at Khadi Gramodyog Vidyalaya. 24th Bn SSB Rangia has organized many such vocational trainings like computer training, driving of motor vehicle training etc in past. Commandant of 24th Bn SSB Rangia Hrishikesh Sharma addressing the gathering said that the aim of this training is to improve the skill of poor girls and women of border areas. MCLA Bijit Goura Narzary appreciated the efforts made by 24th Bn SSB in helping border area people even in adverse times of COVID-19 pandemic. On this occasion, Dulal Saha, Principal of Khadi Gramodyog Bidwalay, Hrishikesh Sharma, Commandant along with Deputy Commandant Pankaj Sharma, Deepak Savita, Assistant Commandant, Sanoj Raj, Navneet Kr Yadav, and other officials of 24th Bn SSB Rangia were also present.
