BISWANATH CHARIALI: A school clerk named Anowar Hussain was arrested in a drive by the personnel of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption at Biswanath Chariali town under Biswanath subdivision in the Sonitpur district on Thursday.
According to information, the clerk who works in Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed High School, Biswanath Ghat, had allegedly sought a bribe from a retired assistant teacher of the same school named Abdul Kasem to regularize his monthly pension. The Anti-Corruption Branch caught Hussain red-handed while taking the demanded bribe in cash from the relatives of Kasem.
