LAKHIMPUR: A science and art exhibition, titled as 'Brain Rain 2022' was held at St. Mary's Senior Secondary School, located in North Lakhimpur, with a two-day programme. On Thursday, the programme was inaugurated by Lakhimpur MLA Manab Deka who attended the inaugural session of the event as chief guest.
Deputy Commissioner of Lakhimpur, Sumit Sattawan was present as guest of honour while a host of eminent academicians took part as a distinguished guest. In the exhibition, students showcased their creativity and talent through scientific projects and art and craft work. Around 150 projects in the senior and junior category and 113 projects in the sub-junior category were put on display. Principal of the school, Sr. Sonia Joseph took every initiative to make every child participate in the exhibition.
The chief guest, in his speech, encouraged the students to get maximum benefit from scientific devices. The Deputy Commissioner inspired the students of all branches to be a scientist in their own field of studies, be it social science or environmental science. He laid stress on the need of combating the problem of global warming which needs utmost importance. The event concluded on Friday with success.
