Scientific goat rearing shed inaugurated in Kokrajhar

The CEM Boro said, “Today, we distributed goats and scientific goat sheds to selected beneficiaries in Kokrajhar as part of our Bodoland Goat Mission initiative.”

KOKRAJHAR: The Chief Executive Member (CEM) of BTC Pramod Boro on Monday formally inaugurated a scientific goat rearing shed in Kokrajhar and distributed goats to beneficiary under the initiative of Bodoland Goat Mission to provide livelihood to the unemployed people of the region for economic sustainability.

The CEM Boro said, “Today, we distributed goats and scientific goat sheds to selected beneficiaries in Kokrajhar as part of our Bodoland Goat Mission initiative.” He said this distribution will be done in all four districts of BTR and every selected farmer will get a set of five goats and one shed. He also said proper vaccination will also be given to goats and training to the farmers will be imparted.

This flagship scheme aims to promote animal husbandry & goat rearing in BTR, empowering local farmers and promoting self-sufficiency in meat production.

EMs Rakesh Brahma, Reo Reoa Narzihary, Wilson Hasda and nominated member Madhab Chandra Chetry were also present on this occasion. Boro lauded the efforts of EM of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Rakesh Brahma for successful implementation of this scheme.

Beneficiaries of the scheme of Bodoland goat mission has expressed happiness and it will be helpful for all, he said.
