Screening of passengers at Banipur Railway Station

DIBRUGARH: The district administration has made all arrangements for screening of passengers. Tea Tribes Welfare Minister (I), Sanjay Kishan, along with local MLA Prasanta Phukan, Deputy Commissioner Pallav Gopal Jha and ADC Dipu Kumar Deka visited the station and reviewed the arrangements made by the district administration for screening of passengers.

Deputy Commissioner Jha informed the minister that passengers of Arunachal Pradesh and other districts would initially be screened at the railway station itself before being sent to Arunachal Pradesh and respective districts of the State. Jha also briefed the minister that passengers of Dibrugarh district would be screened initially at the railway station and later be shifted to the respective quarantine homes set up at different revenue circles in the district. He also stated that the district administration had been trying to get the district-wise passengers' list. The minister called upon all to maintain strict vigil on passengers so that no individual could skip the screening process.
