Scribe Dr Abu Hanifa commemorated at Nagaon Press Club

The members of Nagaon Press Club commemorated the founder president of the club, noted academician and scribe Dr Abu Hanifa on his first death anniversary

NAGAON: The members of Nagaon Press Club commemorated the founder president of the club, noted academician and scribe Dr Abu Hanifa on his first death anniversary on Friday, at a function held at Nagaon Press Club and also paid homage to him. The commemoration programme was initiated with lighting of earthen lamp at his portrait after which the members of the club paid floral tribute to his portrait.

Senior scribe Jiten Borkatoki anchored the commemoration programme while former president of the club, Kanak Hazarika and retired professor Nava Kumar Mahanta spoke on the occasion and also deliberated about the life of Dr Hanifa as well as his unmatched contribution in the field of journalism. Many dignitaries from various fields of the society in the district graced the occasion and also paid homage to Dr Hanifa on his first death anniversary.
