It is pertinent to mention here that this year, about 3.5 lakh candidates have appeared for the HSLC and Assam High Madrassa (AHM) exams, and have been waiting with bated breath for their results. The results, which were declared on May 15 last year, have been delayed this year owing to the nationwide curbs that were brought in by the Centre to mitigate the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

Meanwhile, Assam Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that all the schools will remain closed and results will only be available digitally. Soft copies of the marksheets will be available online, but the hard copies will only be available after the schools reopen after the extended lockdown period.
