Second phase of Gunotsav starts in Golaghat district

GOLAGHAT: Gunotsav 2023, the second phase of the State Government's Gunotsav program to improve the quality of education in the State, started in the Golaghat district on Wednesday. Total 1,21,269 students will be covered in 1,449 schools in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat, Dr. P. Uday Praveen visited Bagidhala Bagan Primary School under Golaghat East Education Zone. He also discussed the educational aspects of the school, infrastructure, cleanliness and hygiene with the students.

This time, 544 professors, teachers and government officials from various colleges in the district have been appointed as external evaluators. The external evaluation was conducted in 496 schools in the district from Wednesday. Joint Secretary, Hill Area Development Department Pratima Rangppi and Additional Secretary, Cooperative Department Deepa Das will be present as external evaluators of various schools in the district on all days till February 4.
