GAURISAGAR: The Additional District Magistrate of Sivasagar, Dilip Terang vide an order issued on January 1, 2020, imposed some restrictions under Section 144 CrPC in the district. As per the order, financial collection (Chanda), forceful subscription, donations, roadside collection, extortion in any manner or form from any person, business establishment, office or intimidation of such kind by any person or organization for such collection have been strictly prohibited in the entire district.
This order has been imposed keeping in view the law-and-order situation and anticipating breach of public peace and tranquillity owing to various reasons, including an unauthorized collection of funds. The order has come into force with immediate effect and will remain in force for a period of 60 days or until further order. Any violation of this order will be punishable under Section 188 IPC.
The Additional District Magistrate of Sivasagar, Dilip Terang vide an order issued on January 1, 2020, has promulgated a prohibitory order under Section 144 CrPC of 1973 prohibiting picnic, illegal fishing, hunting, littering and playing of loud music in the entire Na-pukhuri area.
The order has been imposed following reports of some increasing activities like picnic, illegal fishing, hunting littering, playing of loud music in the Na-pukhuri area. These activities result in creating an unhealthy environment for the migratory birds and are detrimental for their nesting, rest and feeding ground during the winter season at Na-pukhuri.
Following reports of increasing activities like the hunting of migratory birds, picnic, illegal fishing, littering, playing of loud music at Panidihing Wildlife Sanctuary of the district, the Additional District Magistrate of Sivasagar Dilip Terang vides an order issued on January 1, 2020, has promulgated a prohibitory order under Section 144 CrPC.
