DOOMDOOMA: Anima Sonowal, wife of former Minister of State (Health) late Lambheswar Sonowal, passed away at her residence at Azad Road on Monday evening due to old age ailment. She was 83 and is survived by two sons including social worker Bhaskar Sonowal, two daughters -in-law and one married daughter. Her husband former MLA Sadiya constituency and former minister in Hiteswar Saikia’s ministry Lambheswar Sonowal predeceased her a few years back. She was a pious and a mild-natured woman. Her simplicity charmed everyone who came accross her. Her death was widely mourned by organizations like Doomdooma Namghar Samity, Doomdooma Sakha Xahitya Xabha, Ramdhenu Mohila Chora, Assam Science Society, Doomdooma Branch, Doomdooma Asamiya Puja Aru Natya Mandir Samity, Doomdooma, Doomdooma Kali Mandir Samity, Senior Citizens Association.
