NUMALIGARH: The 'Journalist Mridul Boruah Memorial State Rural Journalism Award - 2020-21' was conferred to Numaligarh-based journalist Priyangdeep Kakoti on the eve of the opening ceremony of the silver jubilee year of Teok Press Club, that was held recently at Chandra Kamal Bezbarua College in Teok.
After receiving the award, many social organizations and persons of Golaghat district felicitated Kakoti. Various social organizations and a lot of noted personalities and intellectuals warmly felicitated Kakoti with phulam gamosa, seleng, Hofura, citation letter and books.
Kakoti is a senior journalist who has been in the profession since more than 25 years. He is also a noted social worker who works tirelessly for the betterment of the society. Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP), Satra Mukti Sangram Samiti, Sah Mukti Sangram Samitee, Gurkha Students' Union, Gurkha Sanmelan, AASU, Gana Natya Sangha, Jagriti Samaruh, Kamargaon Regional Journalists' Union, and other organizations felicitated Kakoti. Priyangdeep Kakoti said that people's love and affection had increased his duty and responsibility as a journalist towards the masses and the society.
