DIBRUGARH: Severe waterlogging has been witnessed in the VKV road posing problems for students and local residents. Overnight rain has inundated the streets. As it is a low-lying area, waterlogging in this road has been a problem for many years but the district administration has not been able to find a solution to this problem.

“Students have to face a lot of difficulty when they have to wade their way through this water-logged road. The department concerned should look into this issue,” said a local resident.

Meanwhile, parents of the students of VKV School have complained about the pathetic condition of the road. “This road has been neglected for many years. We have been facing many problems due to the poor condition of the road. The department concerned has not been able to solve this problem,” said Ramen Sonowal, another resident.

Similarly, the road near Hotel Garden, which has now become an important link road towards Thana Chariali, also remains waterlogged. Due to the dismantling of the overbridge, the vehicles passing through the road have to face problems.
