GUWAHATI: A shopkeeper from the Barpeta district of Assam surprised everyone by buying a scooter from his savings of seven to eight-month.
He had always dreamt of buying a two-wheeler of his own and he was never discouraged by the lack of funds to chase his wishes.
The man bought a brand new scooter using all the coins that he saved for months. He then purchased the scooter with the saved money that he collected in a piggy bank.
The man purchased the scoter from Alpana Suzuki Sealers in Howly located in Assam's Barpeta.
The story of the man came into focus when a Facebook user Hirak J Das posted a picture showing how the man carried a sack of coins to the scooter showroom to buy a new scooter.
This amazing story is creating a buzz in social media platforms as people got much inspired by the man for his patience and dedication in fulfilling his dream.
Hirak in the caption wrote that even if it takes a lot of money to fulfill a dream, sometimes it can also be fulfilled by saving little by little.
He also posted a video about the same incident on his YouTube channel where he featured the small stationary shopkeeper.
The unidentified man in the video stated that he has been saving the coins for 7 to 8 months to buy a new scooter. When he realized that he had already saved the required amount needed to buy the scooter he went into the showroom at Howly area of Brapeta.
In the video shared online, 3 men were seen carrying the sack full of coins to give to the showroom. The sack was emptied and the coins are transferred in some buckets to be counted by the staff to know how much money has been saved by the shopkeeper over the months.
After the counting, it was found that the man had enough money to purchase a scooter. The video clip shows how the proud new owner of the two-wheeler signed the documents and received the keys to his dream scooter.
Meanwhile, the story has inspired a lot of people in social media as netizens salute the man's commitment to saving such an amount of money being a small shopkeeper. Many expressed their emotions remarking that dreams can be turned into reality with patience and true efforts.
