Shops, markets to remain open from 10 am to 3 pm: Bongaigaon DC

BONGAIGAON: After Guwahati now Bongaigaon is moving towards lockdown step-by-step due to rapid spread of COVID 29 pandemic. In an order issued by the Bongaigaon Deputy Commissioner, all shops and markets are permitted to open only from 10 am to 3 pm from Monday to Friday. This decision has been taken due to rise in COVID-19 positive cases in the district.

Meanwhile, a police constable working at the DIG office of Bongaigaon tested COVID-19 positive on Tuesday. He, along with DIG, Western Range and 12 other police personal, had given swab samples on Monday at FAAMCH , Barpeta. The results were declared on Tuesday and his report came positive. On the other hand, a newborn baby and mother from Manikpur area of Bongaigaon district also tested COVID-19 positive. Both were sent to MMCH, Guwahati.
