Shrinkhal Chaliha Demands Arrest of Satya Ranjan Borah, Calls Him Mentally 'Ill'

"People like Satya Ranjan Bora is harmful to society. The government should arrest and send him to jail," Veer Lachit Sena leader Shrinkhal Chaliha added.

GUWAHATI: Veer Lachit Sena leader Shrinkhal Chaliha demanded the arrest of controversial propagandist Satya Ranjan Bora for his communal comments.

The Veer Lachit Sena leader, who is now in Nagaon also called Bora is mentally ill. "People like Satya Ranjan Bora is harmful to society. The government should arrest and send him to jail," Shrinkhal added.

He also said that the Assam government arrested MLA Sherman Ali for his derogatory comments against the martyrs. He demanded a similar step against the controversial propagandist. "Satya Ranjan Bora made hateful and controversial comments against Prophet Muhammad. So, the government should take steps against him", he said.

Shrinkhal also demanded to ban the organization which was involved in the blackening of a hoarding's message written in the Assamese language.

Earlier today, the Cachar police have arrested two members of the All Bengali Students Youth Organization (ABSYO) For allegedly being involved in defacing Assamese hoardings by smearing black ink on them.

The arrested members of the ABSYO have been identified as Raju Deb and Samar Das.

The members of the All Bengali Students Youth Organization (ABSYO) and the Barak Democratic Youth Front (BDYF) were allegedly involved in smearing black ink on a number of Assamese hoardings in Silchar.

This incident has angered the general public and several other organisations in Assam who have now demanded strict action to be taken against the culprits.
