SILCHAR: Jail break by two murder convicts had led to the suspension of the jailor as well as two warders of Silchar Central Jail. IG (Prison) had put Sudeep Banerjee, the jailor under suspension. Head warder Parimal Kanti Dhar and warder Azimuddim Khan were also suspended from service. On Wednesday night, Hifzur Rahman and Deep Nunia, two murder convicts escaped from Silchar Jail. Both were facing life sentences for separate murder cases. The convicts reportedly dug a tunnel in ward number 10 where they were housed in. On Thursday morning, during head count of the inmates, it was found that Hifzur and Deep were missing. Police Super Nomal Mahatta said, cyber experts were roped in to trace out these two dreaded criminals. Hifzur Rahman was convicted for murdering Naz Ahmed, a teenager of Badarpur in 2012. Hifzur along with his partner in crime Salimuddin were in Karimganj Jail since 2013.
