SILCHAR: Silchar police had arrested Debojit Das, an employee of PHE along with his mother Anjana Das in charge of murdering his wife Satabdi Das. On Tuesday late night, the in-laws of Satabdi brought her to Silchar Medical College Hospital in unconscious condition. She was declared brought dead by the attending doctors. On Wednesday, Satabdi’s father lodged a complaint with police alleging that her daughter was murdered by her husband and mother-in-law. He further alleged that Debojit and Anjana used to beat and torture Satabdi since their marriage in 2019. Debojit reportedly had earlier married twice and later divorced. Satabdi had left behind two kids.
